The South Australian Tourism Commission is seeking an
experienced professional to manage the marketing and PR
activities for South Australia (SA) in China. The primary
role of the Regional Manager China is to develop and
implement a consumer marketing strategy for SA to increase
visitation from China and Hong Kong. The role is requires
good communication skills, the ability to manage a PR
agency and work closely with the Marketing Manager based in
Hong Kong to ensure maximum exposure in integrated
marketing campaigns for SA.
This role involves close liaison and a positive working
relationship with key industry partners such as Tourism
Australia, wholesalers, airlines, SA government office
representatives, South Australian tourism operators to
build the profile and exposure of South Australia as a
preferred holiday destination.
Reporting to the International Operations Manager in
Adelaide, the role requires management of the day to day
operations of the SATC in Shanghai, budget management and
The successful applicant would ideally have tertiary
qualification in Marketing, a minimum of 5 years experience
in marketing or PR ideally in the tourism industry and a
thorough understanding of the Chinese market place.
The role will be offered as a 2 year contract and is
subject to 2 months probation period.
A remuneration package will be negotiated relevant to
experience and qualifications.
