Ngong Ping 360 in Hong Kong will be closed due to maintenance of its cable car system. A maintenance schedule has planned for the year to ensure that the system operates in an optimal state. During a recent regular inspection, it was detected minor surface wear on a section of the track rope required maintenance. As always, the cable car system is operating safely.

To cope with the upcoming peak visitation in winter and ensure the continued optimal safety and reliability of the cable car system, the scheduled maintenance period has been extended to 1 and 2 December by three days to 5 December to allow for an annual joint exercise, rope maintenance and shifting work. The cable car service will resume on 6 December.

HKID cardholders whose birthdays fall during the maintenance period will be able to redeem their free birthday cable car rides on any other day in December.  Ngong Ping Village, Stage 360, Motion 360, Walking with Buddha and the Ip Man Experience Hall will remain open during the period. Guests will be able to either purchase our special coach packages at the Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal or take other transportation to Ngong Ping Village.
