The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Singapore Tourism Board have struck an agreement to promote each other’s destinations.

The memorandum of cooperation (MOC) will embrace areas such as knowledge exchanges, marketing and promotion by each party in the other country, and the participation of business communities and other tourism enterprises in travel marts, exhibitions and tourism festivals.

Lynette Pang, assistant chief executive, marketing, Singapore Tourism Board, said the MOC would help unlock new opportunities for both destinations.

Last year, Singapore received about 580,000 South Koreans, a 7.5% increase over 2014.
