The UAE will grant visas on arrival to
Chinese travellers as their new strategy to bring in a boost to the travel
industry. UAE prime minister and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid
al-Maktoum spoke about this new rule in the last week.
Economic slash in European countries
including Russia have dampened the flow of tourists from those countries which
is why Dubai, being the global tourism hub has developed this new rule.
Dubai welcomed 450,000 Chinese tourists last
year which was higher by 29% than the previous year. All overnight visitors to
the emirate totalled 14.2 million, a 7.5 percent increase.
